Alternatives for generating the best sleep
Hi everyone, please could you suggest alternatives to Kratom for promoting deep, restful sleep? Anything herbal and effective. I had some adverse effects to the sedating strains and would love to find something out there for me, i don't want to give up. Thank you x
chinese skullcap is one of my favorites. same with blue lotus extract. others i rotate are instant kava and corydalis. wild lettuce works better for me if mixed/ added to one other. most can be found at insense/ gold leaf and very reasonably priced. but everyones reactions are different. i say start small. like a half gram on most and bump it up if needed. some also find melatonin or valerian effective.

I like to take kava maybe 1-2 x a week , very relaxing .
A company I’ve recently discovered and love is Nakamal @ home .
Their Stone kava is a heavier one that promotes great relaxation. The Solomon kava is very uplifting and great for daytime . Keeping in mind it’s good to take a week off after drinking kava regularly. Like all beneficial herbs .... moderation is important !!!
Michele mentioned valerian . This can be very helpful in lowering any tension in the body , aiding into a restful night of sleep . Some say the taste is funky , I actually like it lol .
Another option to consider is a full spectrum CBD tincture or other preparation of CBD. I’ve found the full spectrum to be much more effective than a pure isolate. Organic Green Roots ( thx to @babel-17 for sharing this great source) has resin drops tincture that excellent at chilling your body out , not psychoactive....federally legal!!! (I love all cannabis but appreciate not feeling altered these days 😎) This will aid into your body feeling happy , calm with the special pain lowering effects .
