If anybody has the Vice channel, there’s a show called Hamilton’s Pharmacopia, it airs on Tuesdays in the evening. Next episode, this coming Tuesday, (Dec. 12th) is going to be about Kratom. It’s an hour long show, usually very informative and an interesting show to watch.
Just thought I would share, because I’m excited to watch it.
Is there another way to watch it? Perhaps on YouTube? I'd like to see it, but don't have a TV.
It could possibly be available on YouTube after it airs. I think I’ve caught some clips of other episodes on YouTube, not too sure though.
*edit* Pretty sure you can watch it on there but I think you have to pay.
Thanks. I think I saw one of the episodes before -- where he went to Amsterdam to try some legal magic truffles. I'll see if I can locate it, Netflix is offering me a free trial, so that's a possibility, too.
Here’s a link to watch it AFTER IT AIRS. You can see the general idea by watching one of the former episodes on the link. It’s a great show - perfect venue for our leaf. But the name of the upcoming episode makes me nervous; “KRATOM: the Forbidden Leaf”
I’ll be watching for us! VICELAND is not one of the regular cable channels, so I doubt Trump will be tweeting about it.
Edit: FORGOT THE LINK! Here it is: https://www.viceland.com/en_us/show/hamiltons-pharmacopeia
Have a wee bit better day!
Anyone else watch Hamilton’s Pharmacopoeia last night on VICELAND? I liked it. Very well done! Hope y’all get a chance to see it. “Kratom: the Forbidden Leaf” was the episode of particular interest. Spike Jonz (sp?) co-produces the show.
Have a wee bit better day!
I did and I thought it was very interesting, hearing some of the history surrounding the tree, and seeing the Thailand forest and the kratom trees that are left there. It was also a little sad, in regards to the Thai people and their government.
I really enjoyed the episode.
Just watched the forbidden leaf on youtube, payed the 2 dollars for the episode. A very good and informative yet sad piece. Prohibition there not only has caused turmoil of the people but also the near extinction of it growing in that region. 🙁
“We're all going to die, all of us, what a circus! That alone should make us love each other but it doesn't. We are terrorized and flattened by trivialities, we are eaten up by nothing.”
I thought it was the Best Documentary that I have seen on Kratom. Very Entertaining & Informative. Thanks Laurie for letting us all know. You Da Best! :-bd

Intelligence is like a river. The deeper it is... the less noise it makes.
Im trying like hell to watch it but it freezes after the first commercial break 15 mins in.....So far I dont like the camera work when they mentioned the words stimulant and sedative. He went from coked out looking in a freeze frame shot, to an opium nod. That isnt kratom. Hopefully that stuff stays to a minimum.
I hadnt taken kratom in weeks. Not because I dont need it but I like to make my body suffer a little as a reminder as to what I did to it. However enough was enough. Had a kratom fruit smoothie and bam no more suffering, I enjoyed time with my wife, slept 8 hours, woke up cleaned the entire downstairs, did yoga, made a huge meal that took all day to prepare, cleaned up again, went to my oldests wrestling match and sat on wooden bleachers pain free, then prepped tomorrows lasagna, and now I can relax in bed without wanting to chop my limbs off from neuropathy, my blood disease isnt making my organs ache, and Im not finding 100 positions to rest my 7 herniated discs, and the anxiety that comes with such pain isnt there. THAT is kratom.
2 days ago my days were constant baths, showers, tiger balm, massages, 2 hours of broken sleep. I have realized that not taking kratom makes my family suffer as much as I do. I will always take regular breaks just to remind myself (then again I didnt ask for all this but 4-8 years in I knew pain meds were no good), but never again will I go so long. I have a life to live.
All I ever wanted was to pick apart the day, put the pieces back together my way.
