Another long time user, but new to forum
Hello! Good morning/afternoon/evening (0r whenever you read this!)
I'm a long time user...now that i think about it, I think it's been at least 7 or 8 years. I, as so many here started, hating the pain meds I was being given by my doctors. I have a series of not awesome autoimmune conditions (no, not AIDS, that's everyone always thinks) and have constant pain in various places due to it.
I normally order from Online K as I've haven't had any problems from them. I've tried a good range of their stock, but there is just so much to choose from in the world, it makes your head spin. But I am open to trying others.
The reason I am here...besides finally having the courage to make an account, is that I've had a series of bad flares in my health lately. My pain level has gotten much worse lately. My doctors are very willing to write me scripts, but I sort of like to live my life and want to work, so I refuse. That's why I like kratom, it dulls the pain to a point but lets my mind stay active. (I'm the sort of dork that normally wins employee of the year.)
Lately I switch between forms of Vayu and Surya fusions, but when pain gets bad, I go to one of the reds or a red mixture. (I was under the impression this is best for pain.) I've tried a lot, from white to red to green and many fusions but nothing stands out as awesome to me to be honest. So, my beginner's question, which is subjective I know, what is a good strain for pain relief? Like, a more serious pain relief to be used temporarily?
Thank you all.
Don't know what else to say.
Errr...I am Goot.
Hey, welcome to the forum! Lots of wonderful people here, with even more wonderful information.
I'm sorry you've been having some more difficulty lately. I agree that kratom strains can be fairly subjective. How do you normally take your dose?
My suggestion would be to make a tea concentrate that you can carry with you. If your pain flares up, drinking a concentrate is usually more fast acting and potent, although also shorter lasting. I don't take kratom for physical pain anymore, although that's how I started using it. I derive a lot of personal satisfaction from my work as well, and so I'll keep a jar of tea concentrate with me to sip on if I start getting an anxiety attack.
Good luck! Let me know if I can share any of my other experiences with you. =)
Hi, epactheactor Welcome to ILK. Sounds like you had a rough time in your Life. Red Bentuangie, Red Bali, Red Borneo, Red Kali or Red Maeng Da are all good for Pain Relief. GreenleafKratom has a Red Relief Blend that has Great Pain Killing Properties.

Hello epactheacor :-h nice to meet you 🙂
I am not really sure which strains are best for pain releif, but madmax's suggestions are probably a good place to start 🙂 He has been helpful in suggesting strains to me and i have found his info to be pretty correct. 🙂 Glad to hear another person that kratom helps to live a normal life. 🙂

Hi. Thanks a lot for your input. I'm guessing I will just have to do trial and error with the reds. But it could be worse.
And I know i paint a picture of me hunched over as I walk like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons but that's not the case. Most people have no idea of my issues and I work hard to keep it like that.
I will say I've never heard of Bentuangie. Will have to try that next.
