Q: What year did you begin?
A: We began retailing kratom in 2018.
Q: What was the motivation for starting your company?
A: The motivation for starting the company came from a lack of supply of affordable kratom capsules at the time. Capsules were around at select vendors, but the prices were super high and I wanted to change that.
Q: What are your future plans for your company?
A: Our future plans are to of course continue to build our customer base online by offering a consistent product at great prices, but we just recently opened up a retail location.
Watching that grow has been a lot of fun. Once we feel ready, brick-and-mortar expansion is definitely on the table.
Q: What separates your company from others?
A: I believe what separates us from other companies is our overall value for the dollar spent. We operate with Lean management principles so we’re constantly finding ways to eliminate waste and imperfections that cost money. We then pass these savings directly to the customer to offer some of the lowest prices out there while not neglecting anything that actually adds value to the end-user.
We are also big science and research nuts and strive to be a reliable source of knowledge when our customers have questions about our products. Something else worth mentioning is that all orders ship for free six days per week.
Q: What are your top 5 products and why?
A: Our top five products so far in 2021, from best to least-selling, are our prefilled tea bags, White Maeng Da, Green Maeng Da, Red Bali, and Super Green. The tea bags are likely number one because there are relatively few vendors who carry them. The remaining items may be on the list because they tend to test highest in mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine.
Q: What specials do you offer?
A: We try to keep our everyday prices very low, but we issue coupon codes to customers via email newsletter on a random basis. Anyone can signup for the newsletter on our website. We usually like to make at least one offer per month, but there is also always at least one valid coupon code floating around the internet on the coupon sites. We are creating a new customer offer for ILK members and that will be posted on our vendor page.
Q: Tell us more about your customer service?
A: For immediate help, customers can give us a call between 10am-7pm Monday-Friday and 12pm-4pm Saturday. Our number is listed on our website. For less pressing issues or outside of that time, we offer support via email. Response times are usually four hours or less. All customer support is done in-house by a small team who really enjoys getting to know each individual customer. We have built friendships with a lot of our routine customers and it’s something I’m proud of.
Q: Are you cGMP certified?
A: We are not cGMP certified, though we stay ready for inspection should that ever become required of us. We follow the requirements prescribed in the FDA’s 21 CFR Part 111 (the cGMP guidelines for dietary supplements) wherever applicable to our business.
We also test our materials for safety and alkaloid content using an ISO 17025:2005 accredited facility.
Q: Has your company received any awards or certifications?
A: We won Global Health and Pharma’s Best Alternative Medicine Retailer – Florida award in 2020.

A: We are a small family-owned business looking to make a positive difference in the lives of everyone we do business with. We may not have the clout of some of the big guys, but we think that the value of our offerings, our consistency, and our sincere customer care even after the sale sets us apart.
