Q: What year did you begin?
A: We started operations in 2015
Q: What was your motivation for starting your company?
A: My motivation for starting my company can be broken down into three areas, one is the fact that I’ve been interested in plant based medicine since age 13. I went to college to study Pharmaceutical Sciences with an emphasis in Pharmacognosy, which is natural medicine derived from plants, therefore, I love my job. I enjoy what I do! Second factor is Kratom changed my life. Before I found Kratom, my life long depression and anxiety was crippling. We had tried pharmaceuticals through childhood and through my adulthood with virtually no success. Kratom changed everything, I went from being only being able to function a little bit, to working 15 hour work days 6 or 7 days a week. It stabilized my mood, improved energy level, cognition, memory, patience, resilience and I found myself sick a lot less. It also decreased my stress level and allowed me to work my way into a more successful area in life that would have been impossible before. I created a company out of nothing and it was the Kratom that fixed my brain that led to my success. My motivation was to get Kratom out there to help other people who are suffering. It had such a tremendous impact on my life, I want to share it with everyone else and that is the third factor, to help other people.
Q: What are your future plans for the company?
A:Our future plans for the company involve opening up a grow operation in Hawaii so we can harvest fresh Kratom stateside, so we don’t have to worry about customs as much, and so we can have a US based sourec for Kratom plants, seeds, leaf, stem and the wood, which we can make furniture out of. We’ve already experimented with that idea. Our move should start conception in two months time, so by the end of August of this year, 2020, our company should be in Hawaii if we don’t have snags. It could take as long as the end of the year, but we’re pushing very hard. We have also spent four years developing an incense that is made from the Mitragyna Speciosa Korth tree. We take the wood and have it ground up, as it’s done traditionally, in India. We than add Satya Sai Baba brand Nag Champa, which is the brand that people love, and infuse the product with their oil. There other creative aspects to creating these incense, but essentially, we have actual incense that’s been in production for four years now, and we simply haven’t had the time to mass produce it. We’ve made actual Kratom insense! We’ve been keeping it a secret so competitors won’t take the idea. We have come out with our own brand of cGMP complaint, fully traceable, full spectrum CBD products that are the absolute pentacle of uncompromising quality. Health professionals are already starting to carry our products, both pets and human. We also plan on entering store shelves anytime now with our Kratom products, with the lowest price, yet highest quality, lab tested leaf with a very short shelf life, so products do not remain on store shelves too long. We will have a qr code that people can scan with their phone, as is with our CBD, that will direct them to a web page showing the alkaloid content, the testing, pictures of the harvest for each batch, along with batch and lot codes and other interesting material directly related to their purchase. Envision holding a product you bought, which you scan with your smart phone. The phone instantly takes you to a webpage, which shows you the actual batch you’re holding in your hand, it will show pictures of people with protective gear, how it’s harvested, the drying process and conditions, how it’s milled, shipped, boxed, and packaged to you and so forth. It will really HUMANIZE a completely dehumanized experience! It should give Kratom a feeling when a person can hold a package in their hand and at the same time, feel like their in another country, picking a fresh leaf, that they’re about to use! It should feel natural! I’ve also spent the past four years procuring different Mitragyna species, not just Mitragyna Speciosa. My last batch, was a batch of Mitragyna Ciliata. I’m worried about the industry and I wish to have some back up products in case Kratom was to become illegal. I wish to retain our extremely high ethical standards by MAINTAINING our current policy of making sure every single customer is happy and treated the way we ourselves wanted to be treated, which is something businesses lack these days, and that is soul!
Q: What separates your company from others like yours?
A: Two things to take into consideration here. We treat people like people, and not like customers so much. We are a small family owned and operated business. When doing business with our business, you’re directly influencing the life of blended family. The proceeds literally put food on the table and a roof over our heads, it pays the bills and so forth. Our philosophy is to humanize an online business world that has become completely dehumanized. I try my best to purvey a sense of mom-and-pop shop business, the friendliness that other companies lack. We remember our hundreds of customers by name and take note of their buying patterns, their health conditions, what they like and dislike, etc. We get to KNOW them, which none of the competition does. We also sincerely care about the well being of people, our customers/people. We do not use credit/debit card processing at this point in time, and haven’t in two years, because it’s not safe. We pride ourselves on being the safest. We make sure EVERYONE leaves happy, and no one leaves unsatisfied. If someone does leave upset, we do everything we can to fix it. We donate to charity with our proceeds, mostly random strangers, but also organizations. The last organizations were the Indonesian Red Cross and The Dystonia foundation. Customers can call the owner, myself and they can text me too, which is not something our competition has. There are other factors too, which seperates us, and they are listed in (3), but I feel the aspect of humanization which I’ve described here, is the most important. We also do not sell our products until the batches have been tested by several customers, to ensure that we aren’t selling a bad or par batch. We strive on having something better than average. We strive for the best. We also specialize in having strains that cannot be obtained elsewhere. For instance, six years ago I was able to procure Cambodian Kratom from TradeBoss.com and have since, had a professional relationship with the harvesters there. It’s also VERY important to note, I carry actual Malaysian and Thai Kratom. You see, it’s noteworthy to point out that Kratom from these two countries are impossible to obtain, because it can’t be declared. Importing it would be a felony, because it’s smuggling to lie about what’s in the packaging, but that’s the only way to obtain the product. Right now, I have my man in Malaysia and Thailand send Kratom across the boarder to a man in Sumatra, who then exports it to me. He is an American contact that I have who works there. What he sends me, is being sent from Indonesia, therefore, what I have is actually from Malaysia and Thailand. The competition sells Kratom from Indonesians that CLAIM it’s from that part of the world, but alas, it’s really not. My contact met my man in Malaysia. I’ve seen video of our trucks crossing the boarder. We’ve had to have it sent air=mail before, in which case I had tracking numbers, that I had to prove to someone from a forum that is no longer with us, called KCForum. It’s all real and it was hard to make those relationships. What we have is unique and it sets us apart in an industry that’s already hyper-saturated.
Q: What are your top 5 products and why?
A: I do not have a top five products, but if I had to guess (it rotates), one of the most stable patterns is: 1.) Full Spectrum 50X Water Soluble Kratom extract in poweder and capsule 2.) Our 90% Kavalactone Powder, the best in the whole industry. 3.) Pink Bali Fibro Blend 4.) Enhanced Workday Blend and 5.) Our CBD night-time gummies which knock people out or mellow them out, far more than the average CBD competitor. It’s unique. We also have the best CBD oil on the market, I’m not just saying that either. I would be happy to send you some to prove that too. If you want to know what plain leaf strains are best, we don’t have a best. Those rotate in sales and all of our Kratom is good, and it’s tested and samples sent to customers before it’s sold. Only after live feedback, do we sell it. If I had to choose a plain leaf product, I would say our White Horn from Kalimantan region of Borneo is our best seller for White. Our best Green is Green Horn Maeng Da from New Guinea and the Red would be Red Kapuas Hulu which is super slow and Red Horn, which is a bit peppy for a red. A fifth would be Mekong Gold.

A: We offer only one special on a regular basis, and that is ONLY the ILK discount, which is promo code ILK. We do NOT offer this discount for anyone who is not a member, no exceptions. Q: Are your cGMP certified?
A:Some of our label products are cGMP compliant, yes. I cannot boast that for the entire website, but we are approaching the point where everything will be cGMP in the future. A few products are cGMP though, yes.
Q: Tell us about any awards or certifications your company has received?
A: We have The Gold Leaf award for our Kratom. There are three levels, Gold being the highest standard. At one point, we were the most popular vendor on all of ILK, for many years. We are still very popular.
